Leadership Resiliency
Students are referred into the program when they are at risk of failing academically, having disciplinary problems, and/or if severe life stressors are identified in their lives. School advisors, Resource Officers, social workers, DJJ and psychologists typically refer youth who have significant histories of abuse or who are coping with emotional disabilities. Youth with anger management issues are also referred. Students must be able to make a commitment to the process of self-exploration and assessment. Youth who are not able to make this commitment will not be included in the programming, as the desire for introspection is necessary when conducting process groups.
